About Jen Lesea Designs
Hi, I'm Jen.
I create jewelry that celebrates Mother Nature.
Inspired by the majestic mountains, the warm sun, and cool waters of Colorado, I hand-craft richly-textured modern jewelry - with a touch of rustic design - that connects you to the beauty of the outdoors, wherever you may be.
I use a 20-step process which involves using only heat from my torch, no solder, to fuse the hand-cut pieces of recycled sterling silver to its silver base. Using traditional hand-fabrication metalsmithing techniques, the piece is finished by hand in my studio in Louisville, Colorado.
My process is slow and sustainable; when you invest in one of my pieces, you will receive a little treasure that will last a lifetime.
My Story
I have always taken the road less traveled, a non-conformist of sorts. Through many twists and turns, I returned home to my inner creative.
At that moment, I reconnected with a part of myself that had been dormant for many years. Wanting more of a challenge, I studied metalsmithing at the Denver School of Jewelry Arts and fell in love with fusing sterling silver, which enables me to create one-of-a-kind textures. In 2014, I found myself at a crossroads with my career when I was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia and labral tears. After two hip preservation (PAO) surgeries, I decided to retire from my fitness career and go full-time with my jewelry business.
I think about my story every time I sit down at my jeweler's bench to create a new design. The result is by blending unique metal textures with recycled sterling silver and ethically-sourced gemstones, I create jewelry that has its own unique story and inspiration.
I invite you to explore my collections to find the piece that you will treasure for years to come.
