Blue Ethiopian Opal Mixed Metal Ring

Dive into a unique mix of textures and shades with this distinctive mixed metal ring featuring blue Ethiopian opal set in oxidized silver and 14K gold. Inspired by the textures of trees, a peaceful connection to the natural world is embodied by the genuine opal at the center. To achieve the intricate texture, I combine hand-cut sterling silver pieces with heat, rather than solder, using my acetylene torch. I then use traditional metalsmithing techniques to complete the design.
