A modern take on southwest jewelry, this handcrafted, one-of-a-kind rare Colroado Manassa turquoise and sterling silver ring will be the ring you can wear day or night. The birthstone for December, turquoise aids in protection from negative people and situations as well as facilitating communication.
The Manassa Turquoise, originally called the Lickskillet Mine, was one of the first Turquoise deposits found in Colorado and the Southwest. The Manassa mine is believed to first have been mine by the Anasazi Indians. Manassa turquoise was mined up until the late 1990's. (Source: Durango Silver Company).
To create my signature, one-of-a-kind texture, I use heat, no solder, to fuse the hand-cut silver pieces to the sterling silver base. This creates a unique look but also provides superior durability and texture to the piece. Once the band is complete, I craft a custom bezel so the stone is perfectly set in place and protected for years to come.
