Just as mesmerizing as the Northern Lights, the play of color in this labradorite and sterling silver cuff bracelet will fascinate you about how Mother Nature can create such an incredible stone.
This Labradorite stone is a stunning stone that flashes all colors of the rainbow. The range and depth of the play of color, makes this labradorite highly desirable. To create my signature, one-of-a-kind texture, I use a 20-step process involving heat from my torch, no solder, to fuse the hand-cut silver pieces to the sterling silver base. This creates a unique look but also provides superior durability and texture to the piece. I then created a custom bezel so that the stone would be securely set. After forging the metal into a cuff bracelet, I applied the patina and polished it by hand. Finally the stone was set and tested for a perfect fit.

Labradorite is known to be a stone of intuition and protection. The Eskimo Inuit and the Native American Innu of Labrador, Canada, tell a legend about the true origin of labradorite. It is said in the ancient times that the Aurora Borealis was entombed within the rocks on the shoreline of Labrador. When an Inuit warrior found it, he tried to release it with a spear. But he wasn’t able to free all of them. And that’s the play of lights or labradorescence we see now see in labradorite gems.
