My Process:
To create my one-of-a-kind textures, I use heat, no solder, to fuse the hand-cut silver pieces to its sterling silver base. Next I very carefully soldered the strips of gold. Being that I had two domed sunburst layers, I soldered a spacer in between each layer to give extra dimension. Then came the soldering of the drop, the tube settings, and the posts. After a patina application and hand polish, I securely set the star sapphires to ensure durability. Despite their size, they are surprisingly lightweight.
